I started placing images on this website about seven years ago. It was originally intended as a commercial exercise to promote a freelance photography and design business. As soon as the site went 'live' I was fortunate to be offered teaching work at an FE college, the teaching kept coming and the freelance work is now very much in the background. The site is updated every week and is populated with personal image making.

I have been involved with photography for over 25 years, originally with traditional photography and latterly with digital photography and design. At the age of 15 I built a darkroom in my bedroom, waking every morning to the smell of stale developer and fixer. Some of the photographs printed in my 6 feet by 4 feet homemade box can be found in the 1980s section via the photography button. Due to the wonderful advances of digital photography I now take more photographs than ever.

Thank you for viewing my site, there is lots to look at, the last count was 650 pages. If you would like to contact me, 'the short speccy one with no badges', please click 'contact' to the right.

me
Me-circa 1974, short, speccy and no badges (Liverpool won the FA Cup that year, Keegan scored two, I think, for me it was the year I started to see in colour).

me again
Me-circa 1997 (by which time I did not care about Liverpool football club).
